And Maybe Rupaul’s Drag Race just isn’t a good show? I find myself laughing AT the awful over the top dialogue even for a drag queen, not WITH. At one point in the show Ru claps her hands and proclaims, ” SIIIIIIILENCE!” But Ru, no ones talking. This doesn’t mean I won’t watch. Perhaps GLAAD awards has standards, and even 7 feet or so tall Ru falls short.

The omission of RuPaul’s Drag Race and The A-List: New York for GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Award nominations for Outstanding Reality Program has the drag diva and the A-listers up in arms.

“RuPaul thinks she deserves to be at the awards and she shouldn’t have to share the spotlight with Heidi Klum, who was nominated forProject Runway, because Heidi isn’t gay,” an insider told the New York Daily News.

Sources gave the paper conflicting reports regarding the nominations, such as that Logo didn’t submit the shows for nominations and that GLAAD felt the shows were poor representations of LGBT people.

Garçon Garçon EP Promo; Electro Pop Beards

Combining new wave synths with a unique ’80s feeel and a dash of blatant pop, Garçon Garçon write intelligent songs with catchy hooks. Coming from different musical worlds of classical and punk rock, the duo conjure a sound as complex as it is podium busting.

Garçon Garçon are currently at Studio 301 recording their debut EP, due out 2011. They say it will “showcase both sweaty club anthems and sleazy electro pop treats – LA, Hollywood, hot summer nights, convertibles, the sunset strip”.

To support this release, the boys have scheduled their first overseas dates for early 2011 across North American and Europe. Catch them before the world does.
