Latino variety star Charo has blasted Lady Gaga for “copying” Madonna, insisting she takes her entire act from the Material Girl‘s Blonde Ambition years.

The Poker Face hit-maker released her hotly-anticipated new single Born This Wayearlier this month and immediately faced criticism it was a re-write of Madonna’sExpress Yourself.

Now singer/actress Charo has joined the growing group of Gaga detractors – accusing her of “adopting” the Queen of Pop’s style.

She tells Sirius XM, “I can tell you, to me, Lady Gaga is Madonna with diarrhea… I don’t like it when somebody copies somebody and just adopts it – like their own idea.”

Boy George: Adam Lambert’s Openness Is The Result Of A Gay ‘Daisy Chain’ BY ON TOP MAGAZINE STAFF PUBLISHED: FEBRUARY 25, 2011 Singer Boy George has said he believes Adam Lambert’s willingness to be open about his sexuality is the result of a gay “daisy chain.” For years the androgynous Boy George refused to talk about his sexuality. He announced he was gay in his 1996 memoir Take It Like A Man, in which he confessed his love for Culture Club drummer Jon Moss. Boy George, who is experiencing a renaissance, recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn’t regret staying in the closet during the height of his career in the 80s. “I think you do things in your own time,” he said. “My family knew I was gay when I was 15, long before I got famous. But it’s a very different thing coming out to your family and coming out to the universe. That’s a big step.” And he went on to suggest that Lambert is standing on the shoulders of performers that came before him, including Boy George. “Maybe without me, there wouldn’t be Adam Lambert. Without Bowie, there wouldn’t be me. Without Quentin Crisp, there wouldn’t have been Bowie. So everything is part of a big daisy chain. A lot of people come up to me all the time and say thank you for helping me be who I am. So my thing wasn’t about sexuality. It was about anyone who felt different; anyone who felt out of place. Being gay was one part of it.” Boy George added that Lambert has “a great voice and an incredible range” and “the glam thing … gives him an edge.”

John Galliano Arrested in Paris

Designer John Galliano was arrested in Paris on Thursday for alleged verbal assault against a couple and anti-Semitic utterances.

British designer John Galliano was detained by police in Paris on Thursday for alleged assault and making anti-Semitic comments.

According to Agence France–Presse, “The detention in Paris’ fashionable Marais district came after Dior’s chief designer allegedly verbally accosted a couple seated on a cafe terrace. Galliano’s lawyer strongly denied accusations of anti-Semitism.”

Police found that Galliano, the head designer at Christian Dior, had been drinking alcohol. He was released pending the filing of charges.

Recently, it was announced that the gay designer would design the wedding dress for Kate Moss.

Anonymous takes down God Hates Fags church websites

Anonymous, the hacking movement has taken down the website of the Westboro Baptist Church, home of the ‘God Hates Fags’ campaign group that pickets the funerals of US soldiers whose death the group blames on an acceptance of homosexuality by the USA. It is alleged that the church made up previous threats to crash their websites by the group.

FACT:

2009, the God Hates Fags founder, Fred Phelps and his daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper were banned from entering the UK.
