Ejector, Two Became Three; New Website

by Accidental Bear

Cut me off a piece of that pie, Ejector pie that is. Two became three, when new member Scott  joined forces and has added a thick layer of hunk to the mix, as well as fine tuning Ejector into a tight (mmm, us gays like tight) running machine. SF has needed a band like Ejector to emerge from the depths. I first moved to SF in the early 90’s and the local queer music scene was off the hook, with a multitude of  queer bands; Stone Fox, Tribe 8, 4 Non Blondes, Pansy Division , Extra Fancy ( from LA) etc. Ejector has given CPR to SF’s queer music scene and revived it. I am looking forward to catching them at a street fair out 2 this summer and rocking the front row, feeding off the high energy! See you in the streets.

SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT– Sunday, April 24, 2011

We have been invited to be part of one of San Francisco’s most beloved traditions, Easter Sunday in Dolores Park with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence! We will post all the info and links here when they’re ready, but mark your calendars NOW and plan on being there starting around 10/11:00 am.

Formed in 2008, the original line up consisted of Ben Holder and Ricky Terry. Quickly, they made a name for themselves and became a San Francisco favorite playing clubs, street festivals, and fundraising events. While working on their 2010 album On The Pages they enlisted the help of Dr. Scott. His production skills and ear for dance music was a perfect fit. It wasn’t long until Scott was asked to join them on stage and writing new material commenced. The two became three.

Combining strengths, a new sound was completely evident at their first show together and audiences knew something big had happened. Drawing from a broad range of influences, prior industry knowledge, their love of film scores, sci-fi, and theatre, these elements get wrapped up with a dance groove while not forgetting to add a dash of humor, and sass. They are no strangers to dancing between the light and the dark, deftly transitioning between gentle passion and raw aggression and tackling themes from the playful now to the pain of long lost love. Flash in the pan pop act they are not.

  4. Hunky Kinky Electro Bear MADNESS = EJECTOR

  5. I have adored Ejector since the first time I heard their music. I became their first (or I would like to THINK) “stalker”. Living in So Cal I don’t have the option to see them perform live but I can guarantee that if any of you can catch a show of theirs, you will leave a fan forever. Ben is one of the best front men since Depeche Mode. Ricky’s talent at writing lyrics and playing the keyboards is a dream. And Scott’s knowledge of music, is astounding. Bottom line…….EJECTOR ROCKS! I see a bright future ahead of them, and I’ll be right behind them every step of the way!

  6. I so wish I could! I was just there last weekend………..make sure you take lots of pics. 🙂 I’ll get to see a show some day. I HOPE! 🙂

  8. This is “our” new pride of San Francisco. We’re coming out of a quiet time for local bands here, but Ejector is set out to change that. They are best live and very fun and approachable before and after show.
