Join RSDS (Reynolds-Sebastiani Design Services) in celebrating the opening of our terrarium installation and sale.

St Francis Fountain recently remodelled the space that used to be the kitchen that made candy for the fountain. They brought back life into the unused space by opening it up for events and to shorten the weekend brunch wait by offering more seating. The space will be available for events like birthdays, music shows, art openings, and to school functions (free of charge for schools) http://www.stfrancisfountainsf.com/

We are working together with St Francis for the Grand Opening of the space with our own art opening on Thursday, June 23d. We will be featuring terrariums made from vintage bottles we unearthed. We went digging around in old overgrown forest dump sites to reclaim the bottles and jugs. We will also be showing some pictures of the forest, as we found it, reclaiming the ‘garbage’. We were captivated by how nature takes over man’s waste.

UTGP 2011 Mickey Mouse by the World Contest » T-Shirts

by Accidental Bear

Let’s face it, we all want a Mickey Mouse t-shirt no matter what our age is (or internet age). A Mickey T-shirt so trumps those silly Mickey ears you get in the land of Disney.

Each year since 2005, publishes a line of Uniqlo t-shirt, Uniqlo T better known by the initials UT. To support the creation and discover new talents, this collection is the subject of a competition among worldwide graphic designers. Winners see their creations distributed around the world in the shops of the Japanese brands. This year, 5875designs have been proposed around the theme Mickey and Minnie and 15 lucky ones were selected. You can buy this collection both funny and attractive in every Uniqlo stores to 14.90€ without being accused of childishness.

BEarMUSMENT Exhibition Opening June 3rd | SF CA @ Magnet

by Accidental Bear

The BEarMUSEMENT art exhibition foregrounds ideas about what images are considered “beautiful” in LGBTQ culture and forwards an aesthetic vision of Bears and Chubs.

Exhibition artist Noel Ibay works in styles including graphite, electronic mediums, photo-realistic renderings, stylized iconic images, and pop-culture parodies.

Opening night, Friday June 3, the artist will unveil an HIV/STD prevention poster created by him for Magnet to use for Bear/Chub community outreach. This is highly significant, since this segment of the LGBTQ community is often ignored, not only in gay media but also is underserved in queer health outreach such as HIV/AIDS information.

The following Tuesday, June 7, a panel discussion addresses challenges and triumphs of the large-sized queer community. It will feature fat activist Marilyn Wann and Dan Taylor, editor/publisher of The Big Times. This free exhibit is co-presented by Magnet, Army of Lovers and QCC’s Healthy Communities Initiative Grant. Visit www.BEarMUSEMENT.com.

SOUTH AFRICA-The Trucking Wellness programme on Friday received ten new mobile clinics, used to combat the spread of HIV/Aids in the trucking industry, taking its fleet to 15 units.

The Sprinter-model clinics are used to provide primary healthcare, voluntary counseling and testing, screen for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and to hand-out antiretroviral drugs.

The ten new clinics were handed over by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA), the South African Business Coalition on HIV/Aids (SABCOHA), and the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI).

The Trucking Wellness programme was conceptualised by the NBCRFLI in 1999. READ MORE

Robbie Williams To Launch Menswear Range

by Accidental Bear

Queerer than queer Robbie Williams is to launch a menswear label for Autumn 2011 to be stocked exclusively in House of Fraser stores and online at Shopdirect.com.

The brand, which is called Farrell after Robbie’s grandfather Jack, will hit stores in September. The range comprises items such as a Crombie 3/4 length coat, button shawl collar dinner jacket in herringbone and tailored trousers. It also includes casualwear pieces such as cable-knit cardigans and fleece hooded sweatshirts.

Accessories including flat caps and polka dot scarves will also be available. Retail prices start at £35 for a lightweight T-shirt to £350 for a woollen Crombie.

Robbie’s inspiration for the collection came from his granddad, Jack Farrell, and was created in homage to his style. His aim was to create a collection with a heritage feel combined with a modern style. The collection nods to Savile Row tailoring and branding and logos are kept discreet and on the inside of garments.

Robbie Stars On Esquire Magazine’s CoverIt hits the newsstands Friday 3rd June.

The Home Depot Promotes the Homosexual Agenda & Causes Fear and Boycott

by Accidental Bear

Are we on the playground in kindergarten again? “Either you go or I go” say’s some Home Depot supporters to their support of the “gay agenda.” Immature little homophobes shouldn’t you be building something and not worrying about our nuts and bolts? I suggest you do the opposite of what AFA wants you to do and give your local Home Depot and ring and tell them thank you!

This is what is displayed on the AFA’s (American Family Association) websites front page:
