Gay Bachelor Blog asks: What was your worst date ever like?

by Accidental Bear

A fun site to keep your eyes out for if you are single and wanting to mingle.

What is this site all about?
Good question. This is just a simple site where guys can tell the world a little bit about themselves. Show some pics, and maybe meet someone along the way. Who knows? There are a lot of hunk-sites out there, but GayBachelorBlog.com allows you to connect with them! All these guys are real, single, and willing to meet new people!

So, all these guys are real?
Without getting existentialist, yes.

Duke, Belinda Carlisle’s Son Joined the Go-Go’s on stage: Adorable!

by Accidental Bear

Ok, ok, I’ve seen you kids saying, Adorbz lately on the interweb. I will steal that word because it describes to a T these videos of Belinda Carlisle’s gay son Duke, who started the Trailblazer Campaign, joined the Go-Go’s on stage at Westbury as the sixth Go-Go, singing on the group’s 1994 song “The Whole World Lost Its Head.”

Madonna Vs Britney “Burning Up”

by Accidental Bear

One of the many ways to be a bad gay is not being a fan of Madonna’s music. I fall into this category. I enjoy Madonna’s song from 1985 and before. I just caught wind of a cover (gulp) Britney Spears did a cover of Madonna’s “Burning Up.” What are the thoughts in your head? Here are the two versions side by side. I hope I get some gay points back by admitting to having a favorite Madonna song, “Burning Up.”

Bill Maher and Jane Lynch Give Dramatic Reading of Weiner’s Dirty Facebook Messages

Apology Falls Flat — Like Morgan’s Jokes The Human Rights Campaign issued a statement saying the 30 Rock star “did the right thing by apologizing,” but “that’s just not enough.” On its blog, Truth Wins Out said, “We are glad that he recognizes that he hurt and offended people. However, questions remain.” Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays executive director Jody Huckaby called for “meaningful action to prove the sincerity of that apology” and condemned Morgan for joking about violence “when kids are being assaulted, are dying.”

MTV Pulls Controversial Skins

Only Uncut Dicks For Russell Crowe We know for sure that the sword in Russell Crowe’s hand will never be used to cut the skin hood off of his son’s penis, because he thinks that shit is inhumane and wrong. Foreskin was on Russell’s mind yesterday when he let out a Twitter rant about his true feelings on circumcision. In the back of my mind, I’ve always wished that one day Russell Crowe would flame up over dick skin, but this isn’t what I had in mind at all.

Abandoned Baboon Adopts Bush Baby Orphan In Kenya — Oddest Animal Duo Ever? (VIDEO) NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — An abandoned bush baby and a yellow baboon have formed an unlikely companionship at an animal orphanage in Nairobi. The six-month-old female baboon, abandoned by its family in Maralal in Northern Kenya, is taking care of the three-month-old bush baby that was also abandoned by its family in central Kenya.

Why we published “Dawn of a new gay” BY: THE GRID

by Accidental Bear

We Homosexuals and friends of homosexuals are all ears.

BY: THE GRID
About two months ago, Paul Aguirre-Livingston, a 24-year-old writer and blogger, approached The Grid with an idea for a personal essay about what it’s like to be part of the first group of gay men to come of age in Toronto in the era of legalized gay marriage. He had coined a term—the Post-Mo—to describe himself and the extended group of men he socializes with in downtown Toronto.

Say Hello to the Post-modern Homo; The post-mo, if You Will

by Accidental Bear

What happens to your gay identity when you venture outside of the safety net of your gayborhood or village and you iphone’s ring tone is not a Beyonce song? This article is inevitably going to ruffle some feathers, lift some skirts and smoke some dogs. Wait, what!?! I encourage passionate, heart-felt dialogue with words like, “Fuck You”, “Cunt” and “You blood fart”  left out of the discussion. AB

David, 21, High Park
“My buddies and I joke that we’re not gay, we just fuck dudes. I always enjoy people’s accusation that ‘You can’t be gay’ because of my appearance, my tastes (in music, wardrobe, etc.) and my personality. [There’s this] idea that all gay guys like pop music and bad denim from Guess, and talk like a lame, effeminate caricature of homosexuality.”

Dawn of a new gay

Why you won’t find the younger generation partying in the Village or plastering rainbows on their bumpers.
BY: PAUL AGUIRRE-LIVINGSTON

When Carl Wittman, the American writer and activist, wrote A Gay Manifesto in 1970, it galvanized the gay liberation movement. The document was a ballsy critique of homophobia in North America, but also an unrepentant plea for courage and change within the community itself, proclaiming, “A large part of our oppression would end if we would stop putting ourselves and our pride down.”

Phil, 23, Waterfront
“I lived in the Church Wellesley Village during my first year at Ryerson, but never went out socially in the neighbourhood. I do have friends that actively go out on Church Street—they enjoy the clubs and bars. I prefer to explore other parts of the city. I don’t need to be in a gay-specific area to have fun and dance.”
