Pssst Sweatshirt Addicts, Over Here: Warehouse Loopwheel Sweatshirt
You will most likely see me next on the Dr Phil show talking about my horrible addiction to sweatshirts. I must have at least 25. One for when I’m cold, I’m sad, I’m happy, I feel pretty, for the gym, to sleep in, I’m horny in…. you get my drift. It look like I’ll have one more after the UPS man gets here. Warehouse just pulled on this winner and it’s hot from head to toe! Wait, it’s hot from neck to waist I mean. Find it at Blue & Green .
“It’s all there – Loopwheel woven, Double ‘V’ stitch, thick rib cuffs and hem, it even has ‘freedom style’ armpits, a 1940’s design which allows you to swing your arms around unhindered. Finally, we can look stylish and do Jumping Jacks in full comfort. ” (via Selectism)
Portrait Of United Arrows: Fall/Winter 2011
Japanese retailer United Arrows presents ‘Portrait of United Arrows: Fall/Winter 2011′, a lookbook showcasing the collections that will be available in store in the coming months. These looks have a European-world traveller-literary-writer-poet-bbisexual and I don’t brush y teeth everyday feel to them, but when put together well I am a huge fan. The presentation of these clothes is impeccable.
Accidental Bear Teams up with Celebrity Personal Trainer Johnny Pearman for a Series of Fitness Videos
The night before my meeting with personal trainer Johnny Pearman was a restless night of sleep. Fitness for most can be that pink elephant in the room that you just do not want to acknowledge. You know you should pet it more and take better care of it, but chose to ignore it. So, meeting Johnny was like meeting this pink elephant, face to face. The plan of attack was to tackle fitness and workout myths and to get Johnny to reveal some secrets of the trade.
Johnny exudes a bright light and even before our initial meet-and-greet handshake, I was a fan. Once I got past his movie star good looks and his make-you-weak-in-the-knees Kentucky charm I found a well seasoned athlete that knows fitness and well-being inside and out. His training techniques are gentle and effective and he will deflect any negative thoughts or feeling you may be having regarding your own personal faults, with helpful tips in terms that are easy to understand and relate to.
About the awesome Johnny Pearman
Johnny’s path into the fitness industry started at a young age. Pitching hay bails during the hot, humid summers of Kentucky and hammering nails into new homes fostered a physically driven lifestyle, and an appreciation for hard work and tangible, visible results. Johnny earned his B.A. in Exercise Science and Philosophy at Western Kentucky University before moving to San Francisco, California. In San Francisco, Johnny picked up gymnastics and studied with a Spanish Gold Medalist at Stanford. Johnny then moved to Spain, where he studied Spanish at the University of Alicante. While living in Spain he trained for his first half-marathon that he later ran in Sweden. Next, Johnny lived in Costa Rica and taught TRX classes for a Detox Resort. From the success of his instruction Johnny was invited to Indiana to teach at the Elk Ridge Resort. Coming back to San Francisco, California Johnny joined Virtual Active as the video instructor and program designer for their interactive running and hiking videos. Between hiking and trail running Johnny loves to train his clients in the city. johnnypearmanfitness.blogspot.com

New Jersey School Bans Book With Lesbian, Gay Scenes
Turns out high school students in one New Jersey district won’t be reading Norwegian Wood this fall. Japanese author Haruki Murakami’s celebrated novel about Tokyo college life in the 1960s was banned by the Monroe Township Schools in Williamstown after a public outcry over its supposed inappropriateness. “Some of the language is inappropriate,” said Chuck Earling, superintendent of Monroe Township Schools. “We were not trying to create controversy. We were just trying to get students to read.”

Gay Porn Found During Raid on Gadhafi Home
A gay porn DVD titled Boyz Tracks was discovered among the possessions of Libyan leader Mu’ammar Gadhafi’s son Al-Saadi when looters raided his home, reports Associated Press. Libyan rebels took control of Tripoli over the weekend and looters immediately raided the Gadhafi family’s luxurious compound of mansions, removing expensive cars, clothing, and bottles of alcohol. One rebel interviewed by AP says they “are not condoning looting of private property, and only allow the wrecking of symbols of the Gadhafi family’s abuse of power.”
An Intimate History of Gay Men in the Military
As “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” comes to an end, we sent Chris Heath to interview dozens of gay servicemen from the past and present to find out what life was really like as America’s military struggled with its last great identity crisis. On a day to come very soon—September 20, 2011—a serviceman’s sexuality will no longer be grounds for dismissal from the U.S. Armed forces. These are the voices explaining what it has been like to be a gay man1 in the American military over the previous seventy or so years, from World War II veterans in their late eighties to young servicemen on active duty.
