At first glance of artist Jonathan Eric Gann from Birmingham, Alabama, you can tell that there is depth behind those eyes, substance. Being the beard freak that I am, for a moment, I got lost in his delicious beard then brought back to to life by his poignant conversation and the description of his art work. Jonathan’s work has a complexity to it and each piece can be read like story. I respect the fact that the story is not always obvious. It makes me come back for look after look.
