Yellowstone Hiker Death: Grizzly Attack Suspected In Yellowstone Hiker Death

GrizzlyYELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. — Rangers investigated Saturday whether a Michigan man was the victim of a grizzly attack in Yellowstone National Park or if the bear had come upon the hiker’s body after he died. The man was found Friday morning by two hikers on the Mary Mountain Trail, which runs northeast of the park’s iconic Old Faithful geyser. Investigators found grizzly bear tracks and scat near the man, but were not immediately sure whether the grizzly caused the man’s death or disturbed his body after he died. “Bears are opportunistic when it comes to food sources,” Yellowstone spokesman Al Nash said.

Anderson Cooper Lose It on Live TV (CNN): Cute!

by Accidental Bear

Our Anderson Cooper loses himself to a number two joke and giggles like a school girl. I claimed him as ours, yes I did.

Before signing off each night, Anderson Cooper concludes AC360 with a segment called the “Ridiculist,” during which he comments on some trivial bit of news or pop culture. It’s a chance for Cooper to show off his less serious side, but he took things to a whole new level tonight when his own joke about French actor/plane urinator Gérard Depardieu caused him to giggle uncontrollably for a minute or so on live TV.

by Accidental Bear

Anderson, I love-hate you. Lets see if your daytime talk show sways opinion to one side or the other.

(via www.afterelton.com)

If Anderson Cooper isn’t already one of the busiest journalists working in television today, he’s certainly about to be: on September 12, Cooper kicks off Anderson, his daytime talk show.

While sitting in the Beverly Hilton for the summer edition of the Television Critics Association press tour, however, Cooper repeatedly assured the assembled TV critics that he’s up to the task of maintaining a day job while still doing his duties at CNN in the evening and occasionally contributing to CBS’s 60 Minutes.

“You know, I manage my time really well,” said Cooper. “The schedule of this show, we’re taping it and shooting it in the same building where I work at CNN, in New York. I think it’s all very do-able. It’s going to be a lot of work, but I like working hard. I’ve been working hard for a long time now.”

Rick Perry and is expected to rekindle the debate over teaching evolution and the origin of life in public schools. Perry, who is considering a run for president and has embraced social conservatives in Texas, named Barbara Cargill chairwoman earlier this month. Cargill, a biology teacher considered to be one of the more conservative board members, disputes the theory of evolution and voted to require that the theory’s weaknesses be taught in classrooms.

Why I Hate Being Gay! 62 Reasons! By Michael Musto Wednesday, Jun 22 2011 You assume the Super Bowl is a large household item at Pottery Barn. … Your fake tans are even more life-threatening than your real ones. … Your entire wardrobe consists of male designers having a midlife crisis. You spend your whole life fighting for rights you don’t even want for yourself. (Marriage and the military? No thanks!)…Gym was the bane of your entire childhood, but now you spend $1,350 a year on it. … You gym all day and unsafe all night. … It’s not even called “barebacking” anymore. It’s just “sex.”… You think “modern dance” means Britney. … You strangely turned off to Gaga the day she released a song about how great gays are. … You haven’t followed a female singer with two names since Alanis.

Six Members of GLAAD’s Board Resign Six board members of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation have resigned amid the fallout over the organization’s letter insupport of AT&T’s proposed bid for wireless rival T-Mobile, a person familiar with the matter told POLITICO. Some board members were said to have resigned because of concerns that GLAAD failed to adhere to its conflict of interest standards and to protest GLAAD’s failure to protect its president, Jarrett Barrios, who submitted his letter of resignation to the group Saturday amid a growing backlash in the gay blogosphere over the group’s AT&T stance.

Pilot’s Antigay Rant Stalled Air Traffic Control A pilot in Houston was suspended after his obscenity-laden rant was recorded, in which he complained that he found none of the flight attendants being hired suitable for dating. The Southwest Airlines pilot, whose name has not been disclosed, was speaking to his copilot during a flight in March, and the conversation was accidentally picked up by an air traffic control frequency that is heard among most controllers and pilots across Texas. The incident tied up the frequency for several minutes, blocking communication from controllers to dozens of pilots in the sky, according to KPRC News.

Ask the Expert: Is Anderson Cooper’s closet really about bias?

by Accidental Bear

Anderson Cooper is one of those men I haven’t really spent any time thinking about. He doesn’t fly into my radar. People get so angry when a gay public figure doesn’t go public tell everyone how GAY they are. Him being a flaming homosexual is not his job, reporting the news is his job. I think this may be a case of discretion, which I think more people would benefit from having. I think gays should not take it so personally and mind their own business.

______________________________________________________

Q: I’m confused by Anderson Cooper. Gawker says he brought his boyfriend to Mardi Gras. I know his whole schtick is that he doesn’t talk about his personal life because he doesn’t want it to compromise his neutrality as a journalist, which is standard behavior and something that I have no problem with. But he is far from neutral when it comes to LGBT rights. He’s been very active in covering anti-bullying news and other things relevant to the LGBT community, and in my opinion, I think that compromises his neutrality. Also, can we really consider him in the closet if he attends such public events as Mardi Gras with his “boyfriend?

I don’t know what to think. Some say he should disclose his sexuality just as he discloses that he comes from wealthy family and modeled for Calvin Klein. On the other hand, he’s talked about LGBT topics, favorably, in public before. It’s almost as if, by not coming out, he’s letting people pass some unspoken judgment about him and his opinion of/relationship with homosexuality. Bu why should I even be concerned with his personal life, especially considering I have the privilege of not being in the lime light? — Chaz, New Orleans, LA

A: If Anderson Cooper really is gay, I absolutely support his right to be publicly closeted if that’s his choice. Only he can decide what’s right for him.

GAGA GOO GOO, Shhhhhh Don’t Talk , Just Be

by Accidental Bear

GAGA GOO GOO is like a walking art installation. I don’t  care what she has to say or if she ever sings again. But like a train wreck for the good or bad , when I hear her name I do a double. Whether she has a penis or not, covered in red meat or wearing nothing , she tickles my artistic button ( would that be my male G-spot). I think GAGA would look cute hung in a frame in my bathroom. Outfit of MY choice of course.

Do we like Anderson Cooper?

by Accidental Bear

I have never been able to tell if I like Anderson Cooper or not. I’m confused. But this video is insanely interesting. The only thing I knew about Bonobo Apes was from a National Geographic Special I saw years ago where they showed and discussed how Bonobo Apes will have tons of sex with who ever, mom, brother, male or female, they don’t discriminate, they just screw.
