Does the Law Allow Jurors to be Dismissed for Being Gay?

A lesbian was allegedly kicked off a jury because of her orientation, and now lawyers are arguing to a federal appeals court that it should never happen again, the Los Angeles Timesreports.

The woman was bumped from the trial of a gay Nigerian who was later convicted of assaulting a guard at a jail in Los Angeles. In his defense, Daniel Osazuwa had claimed he was merely giving the guard a hug, which he says is a sign of respect where he’s from, when the homophobic guard overreacted and caused a scuffle.  via Advocate

They say thing like, “Hi, I’m a junkie whore” or “Hi, I want to look like a just crawled out of bed but I spent 2 hours getting ready.” Adam Kimmels’s Spring/Summer 2012 looks tells me that the wearer might be a surfer boy who was told by his girlfriend that he need to clean up a bit, but holds on to dark colors as to accommodate spills. Kimmel sneaks in a few skirts and has most of his male waifs barefoot. For those who wore shoes, are sporting  slip-on and boot looks from the designer. (gq)
