News: Recriminalize Homosexuality, Choi’s Trial, Romney Too Gay Friendly, Bigamist and Pedophiles are ‘Waiting in the Wings’

by Accidental Bear

AFA’S BRYAN FISCHER: RECRIMINALIZE HOMOSEXUALITY

Bryan Fischer, spokesman for the American Family Association (which hosted Rick Perry’s prayer rally), called today for the recriminalization of homosexuality. Though laws against “sodomy” were found unconstitutional in 2003 in Lawrence v. Texas, Fischer said there is “no reason why it cannot be a criminal offense once again.”

NORTH CAROLINIANS RALLY AGAINST MARRIAGE EQUALITY: BIGAMISTS AND PEDOPHILES ARE ‘WAITING IN THE WINGS’

The debate over inserting a constitutional amendment into North Carolina’s constitution to prohibit same-sex marriage isn’t until next month, but proponents of the measure are already organizing in support of the effort. Gregory Phillips of the Fay Observer has this report from yesterday’s small protest: “Ana Maria Blevins, who organized the protest and brought two of her children… said the amendment is necessary because without it, bigamists and pedophiles are ‘waiting in the wings,’ ready to take advantage of any court rulings that challenge the existing law, she said. The demonstrators, several of whom attend church together, objected to same-sex marriage on religious grounds. ‘You do what you want in your own bedroom, but you don’t have a right – a small percentage of the population – to redefine marriage for the rest of us,’ said Heather Harrison. ‘It’s all designed to shove down our throats a lifestyle that is totally against God’s word.’”

Rick Perry Doesn’t Like Romney Because He’s Too Gay Friendly

Perry, who proudly wears an Eagle Scout pin on his lapel, has harshly criticized Romney for a decision made while he ran the Olympics not to allow Boy Scouts to be official volunteers during the games. “Several years have gone by, and neither Mitt Romney nor anyone else who served as an official of the 2002 Winter Olympics has given a clear and logical explanation of why the door to volunteerism was shut on a willing ‘army’ of Boy Scout volunteers,’’ Perry wrote in his 2008 book, “On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts are Worth Fighting For.’’

Choi’s Trial Ends Day One, With More to Come Tuesday

While former Lt. Dan Choi has already spent a day in federal court for the charge of failing to obey a lawful order by a police officer, things are moving at a pace that left Choi’schoi.jpg defense guessing that the bench trial may take three days.  Choi, who has gained a national reputation as a prominent figure in the fight against the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, was arrested with 12 other activists on Nov. 15, 2010, after the group chained themselves to the White House fence to protest the Obama administration’s lack of action on repealing the military policy. Under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” which was repealed in late December 2010, members of the military could be investigated and discharged on the suspicion that they were homosexuals.

ARMY AND AIR FORCE BASES WILL DISTRIBUTE GAY RIGHTS MAGAZINE

With the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell only three weeks away, OutServe Magazine is expanding its outreach to LGBT servicemembers. In addition to a new interactive website, the magazine now has distribution rights on Air Force and Army bases, which means it will be on the shelves of military exchanges for the first time. The Sept. 20 issue will commemorate the repeal with profiles of nearly 100 gay, lesbian, and bisexual servicemembers.

GLAAD on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ casting Chaz Bono: ‘Tremendous step forward’

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation doesn’t typically weigh in on the latest round of celebrities on Dancing with the Stars, but then it’s not every season that a transgender and an openly gay man decide to tango under the mirror ball. As a result, GLAAD lauded ABC for including Chaz Bono and Carson Kressley in the 13th season“With both gay and transgender contestants represented on this upcoming season, ABC will send viewers a strong message about the diversity within the LGBT community,” said Herndon Graddick, senior of director of programs for GLAAD, in a statement. “At a time when transgender representation in the media is sorely lacking, Chaz Bono joining the cast is a tremendous step forward for the public to recognize that transgender people are another wonderful part of the fabric of American culture. Appearing on such a high-profile show will allow millions of Americans to get to know him in a whole new light.”

INTERVIEW: Drag Terrorist CHRISTEENE Plays with Accidental Bear & There’s a lot of Stank Mentioned

by Accidental Bear

I just wrestled a wild, mysterious, gorgeous and stinky wild animal for you named CHRISTEENE, who has been handed the title ‘Drag Terrorist” on a silver platter. Tranquilizers did not work so I had to strategically reel CHRISTEENE in with food scraps and then I pounced hard, swinging with questions. In 2009 singer CHRISTEENE mysteriously appeared in the conservative state of Texas and was mostly spotted  within its capital city, Austin. Reporters and private investigators have not been able to get the bottom  of his/her age, origin, race, religion and even gender leaving the public to rely primarily on an impressive and highly stylized collection of music videos. My  first CHRISTEENE sighting was when it’s video for the song “Fix My Dik” landed in my  email inbox and boy did it stink (in a good way). For hours I danced to its track and then masturbated to CHRISTEENE’s dirty & sleazy back up boy’s T-Gravel and C-Baby. From that day forth CHRISTEENE has been a dirty stain in my mind and I wanted more.

Reports from live shows describe scenes involving butt plugs tied to bouquets of balloons being released into the air from CHRISTEENE’s arse, intimate and bizarre confessionals over tea, backup boys urinating on canvas bags containing the singer, and a wardrobe styled from the scraps of society…classifiable as ‘Dumpster Couture’. The singer’s impressive sound arsenal includes a wide range of musical appreciation and mastery ranging from Electro to R&B, Hip Hop to Dub Step, with titles including ‘Fix My Dick’ ‘Tears From My Pussy’ and ‘African Mayonnaise’.  All songs are written by CHRISTEENE and present an intimate and fascinating glimpse into the personal experiences of this talented nightmare.” christeene.org

I peeled back all the warning labels screaming WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT at  me and tried to get to the bottom of this deep, dark hole that we have all learned to love, CHRISTEENE.

Interview:

Accidental Bear: I just read on your website that you appeared in Austin sometime in 2009. Would that be dropped from an alien ship or you dug your way out from the earth? Either way you are dirty rotten hot.

CHRISTEENE: Diz sheeeet is STANK HAWT an I doo like too push it out ferr da boyz an baybeeez out derr in da wurld ya’lllz. Austin been my nay nay place fer a while now. Iz hawt as SHIT here an i wish all u people can cum an play up in diz nugget when u can wit me haaaay.

A B: As a small child did you dream of being on stage?

CHRISTEENE: whut ?

A B: If you were locked in a 12×12 room with 10 sweaty, bearded, construction workers, a pepperoni pizza, chop sticks a lube for 24hr (not toilet) what might happen in that room?

CHRISTEENE: I would take da chop stix an pic da lock den I would go down da street to dat place wherr u doo da laundry an watch da clothes spin in da hot box machine.

A B: What kind of emotions stir inside of you if I say stinky pinky?

Handpicked News: MARRIAGE IS LIKE WATER, NOT BEER, Progressives Are Funnier Than Conservatives, NEW DOCUMENTARY

‘Daily Show’ Creator Lizz Winstead On Supporting Planned Parenthood, And Why Progressives Are Funnier Than Conservatives

On July 9, Daily Show creator, former Air America host, and comedian Lizz Winstead hit the road for a stand-up tour benefitting Planned Parenthood. She took a break from the show and finishing work on her forthcoming memoir to talk to me about what she’s learned about support for reproductive rights from her audiences; why conservative comedians aren’t very funny; how we can back up Planned Parenthood workers; and her dream television show in the post-Bridesmaids boom for women in comedy. This interview has been edited for clarity and length.

SANTORUM: MARRIAGE IS LIKE WATER, NOT BEER | Rick Santorum turned more than a few eyebrows on Monday when he explained his opposition to same-sex marriage by holding up a napkin and observing that it was not a paper towel. On Friday, during a meeting with the Des Moines Register, Santorum relied on a similar metaphor to prove why society can’t “redefine” marriage: water is not beer. “It’s like saying this glass of water is a glass of beer. Well, you can call it a glass of beer, but it’s not a glass of beer. It’s a glass of water. And water is what water is. Marriage is what marriage is,” he said. Watch it:

But FRC and MR are attacking GLSEN for a publication called the “Little Black Book,” describing it as “the most vile assault on teenagers ever concocted by homosexual activists”:

Lucille Ball Found Gay Rights “Perfectly All Right”

by Accidental Bear

Of Course she was on our side.

Lucille BallX390

There have been a multitude of tributes this week remembering comedy icon Lucille Ball who was born 100 years ago today, but a vintage interview with People magazine reveals the late entertainer was in favor of gay rights.

In a candid interview from 1980, Ball was asked her thoughts on a number of subjects, including gay rights. “It’s perfectly all right with me,” she replied. “Some of the most gifted people I’ve ever met or read about are homosexual. How can you knock it?”

As an entertainer, Ball obviously had many gay coworkers and friends. In 2001, one of her gay friends, Lee Tannen, wrote a book about his relationship with her. In it he recalls a mutual friend telling Ball how gay men adored her and how her curiosity was piqued when she heard about a gay bar in West Hollywood that played marathons of I Love Lucy episodes.
