Rag & Bone Men’s Looks for Spring/Summer 2012

by Accidental Bear

What happens when you mix your pajamas with a suit and put them on hippies? There is so more talk about women’s skirts and dress length but I think more dedication needs to be on men’s pants length. I am not a fan of these capri- ish length pants below.

There is Hipster & Then There is Awkward Clothing: Spring/Summer 2012 in-house collection from the Opening Ceremony

by Accidental Bear

I will do Opening Ceremony  the favor of holding off judgment until I see the whole collection, as they say they are holding back from showing the full collection yet. The missing pieces will have to fight an uphill battle in my mind to help out what I see so far. Awkward, very awkward.

Men’s Clothing 2011-2012: Spring-Summer Fashion 2012 Collection –Clothing Spring-Summer Fashion Trends 2012 For Men: Now in: some first looks at the Spring/Summer 2012 in-house collection from the Opening Ceremony line.

The collection is vast and we’ll do our best to show as much as we can, but we’re holding back on some looks for later. For now, we preview a good chunk of the collection. Highlight colors work throughout the collection. The knit-top above is a great casual garment for the season. Much more to be seen in our gallery.

“Composed of eclectic, easy-to-wear pieces in clean silhouettes, the men’s collection features an extensive palette of vivid primary colors –  electric greens, yellows, blues, and reds…”

“Scanwiches” Book: Product of a two year love affair with sandwiches

by Accidental Bear

scanwiches 07 selectism Scanwiches Book
Jon Chonko, a graphic designer, photographer, writer, and unashamed foodie, brings his popular blog scanwiches.com to print this November through powerHouse Books.  The product of a tw0 year love affair with sandwiches, Chonko’s ode to the delicious versatility of all-things-between-bread runs the gamut from tea sandwiches to the mighty muffaleta. Hitting cafes, delis, and markets, Chonko’s journey delivers the sandwiches in full frontal actual size cross sections. Graphically appealing, and hunger inducing, Scanwiches Scanwiches Book  provides brief histories of all included sandwiches – dare we say, that means a little food for thought? (selectism)

Peaches Christ Celebrated Mothers on Stage @ Trannie Dearest

by Accidental Bear

On a stage usually covered in fake blood, placentas, wig parts and potty mouths, Peaches Christ has a tender moment last night at  the 30th Anniversary of Mommie Dearest w/ Trannie Dearest; Castro theater SF. Last nights event fell coincidentally on Mothers Day weekend. Joining Peaches in the pre-show performance was her very own, sprouted from her loins,  mother. Peaches Christ then celebrated the mothers of her production team and brought mothers to the stage that were present at the show. There was a semi awkward moment when one of the mothers put on her own impromptu skit which was followed by a parade through a cheering crowd.

Happy Mothers Day Mrs. Christ. You raised Peaches real good, like a lady!

Flathead Winter Flannel

10 February 2011, 04.30

Flathead Winter Flannel

The Flathead company was started in 1996 by Kobayashi Masayoshi and has produced amazing products for the Japanese market. Today, we have the ease and access to most of the products they offer in Japan thanks to Self Edge. The “Winter Flannel” comes in three different colorways: mustard, blue and red. The shirt is “made of a heavy cotton flannel with a combed super soft interior. Due to the heavy gauge thread and vintage loomed fabric, the shirt is an amazing piece for the winter months. This is the second rendition of the shirt and it might even better than the last.
