A Parody about the Great Recession
:Wantmore, Tweakmore, Totalscum, and the Tragedy of Boneheadia In the country of Boneheadia there was a man, Wantmore, who earned his income as a home mortgage loan originator. Wantmore operated conservatively. All his home loans bore interest rates of 6 percent or less, and he demanded of all borrowers large down payments, documented proof of adequate income, and an immaculate credit-using history. Wantmore sold all his loans to life insurance companies that, before closing purchases, checked loan quality with rigor—then held all loans to maturity.

Monogamish Anti-equality right-wingers have long insisted that allowing gays to marry will destroy the sanctity of “traditional marriage,” and, of course, thelogical, liberal party-line response has long been “No, it won’t.” But what if—for once—the sanctimonious crazies are right? Could the gay male tradition of open relationships actually alter marriage as we know it? And would that be such a bad thing? With divorce rates at an all-time high and news reports full of famous marriages crumbling at the hand of flagrant infidelities (see: Schwarzenegger, Arnold), perhaps now is the perfect time for the gays to conduct a little marriage makeover.

Ty Cobb, a legislative counselor for the Human Rights Campaign wrote that there was no denying that DOMA is clearly still the law of the land, adding he found it “troubling that Rep. Foxx would question whether our military leaders understand this point.”

Ohio ‘Heartbeat Bill’ Divides Pro-Life Community A controversial new bill in Ohio that would ban abortions after the fetal heartbeat can be detected is driving a wedge into the state’s pro-life community, with some concerned that a court battle over the bill could end up reaffirming Roe v. Wade.

Buffett: GOP Threatening To ‘Blow Your Brains Out’ Over Debt Ceiling  Republicans are playing a dangerous game by refusing to raise the debt ceiling, according to Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. “We raised the debt ceiling seven times during the Bush Administration,” Buffett told CNBC on Thursday. Now, the Republican-controlled Congress is “trying to use the incentive now that we’re going to blow your brains out, America, in terms of your debt worthiness over time.”

Rowdy Queers: We “Glamdalized” D.C. HRC Store

by Accidental Bear

I like to call things what they are, a spade a spade. This is a case of asshole-ism. This is no better in spirit or crime than the little wanna be gansters scribbling tags on the public trains with over sized sharpies, making up with their 2 inch cocks. Shame on you“The Right Honorable Wicked Stepmothers’ Traveling, Drinking, and Debating Society and Men’s Auxiliary” , lay off the booze. Drugs are bad mmkay! AB

HRC STORE VANDALISM X390 (SOURCED) | ADVOCATE.COM(via advcate.com)
A group calling itself “The Right Honorable Wicked Stepmothers’ Traveling, Drinking, and Debating Society and Men’s Auxiliary” has claimed responsibility for vandalizing the Human Rights Campaign store in Washington, D.C. Tuesday night. In a bizarre homage to the Stonewall Riots, the group said — via its press release — that after determining the “god awful monstrosity” would “look great with a bit of shattered glass and splattered paint,” the members strapped on their “riot chaps” and “poured pink paint into light bulbs, grabbed hammers, and went party party party! all over that tacky testament to the transformation of radical queer liberation into consumer junk.”

Getting Our History Out of the Closet and Putting on Display

by Accidental Bear

GLBT Logo

I’m the first to judge and ridicule our gay brothers and sisters ( let that be NYE resolution #1 : Be nicer to my gays). I applaud loudly, to those who put in the effort to get “our” history out, and to take it to gigantic proportions. The GLBT Historical Society has opened its new museum in the Castro with generous help from numerous business sponsors, individual donors and volunteers.

The GLBT Historical Society is marking its 25th anniversary by bringing a new cultural destination to San Francisco’s Castro District. Set to open in November 2010, the society’s GLBT History Museum will showcase the stories of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their communities through dynamic exhibitions and public programs.

Stop in , take a gander. Have one less latte  and donate the money that day. Make a difference, BE PROACTIVE.  I won’t tell anyone, that you actually care. It will be our little secret.
