Event planner Michael Scarna, 31, was walking down the street one day when he realized he wanted to be in a relationship. Soon thereafter, he met Michael Lamasa, now 26. The two Michaels met on MySpace a little over four years ago and are busy planning a 2012 wedding. They plan on raising a family in a few years. Lamasa was keeping his eyes open for the right guy since his early 20s. “I’ve always seen myself as a serial monogamist,” the working actor says. “I came out when I was 16. By the time I went to college, I was moving toward a more relaxed, settled-down lifestyle. Family was always important to me. My fun when I grew up wasn’t from experimenting sexually.”

In the adult entertainment industry the term “straight” on the gay side of the road is a hot commodity. There is much skepticism because these so-called straight actors are filmed getting gang-banged on site after site showing up on Sean Cody and other such sites with “first time”, “straight seduced”, “broke str8 guy” tags. “This is What Love in Action Looks Like” will make its world premiere at FRAMELINE 35 – the 35th Annual San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.  The festival is scheduled for June 16-26, 2011.

In the summer of 2005, Zach, a 16-year-old boy from Memphis, Tennessee wrote on his MySpace blog that he had told his parents he was gay. Within days of his coming out, his mother and father would send him to Love In Action (LIA), a fundamentalist Christian program that refers to homosexuality as an addictive behavior. The depressed and fearful teenager shared his feelings on his blog.
