NY Bar Raided During Celebration: Stonewall All Over?

by Accidental Bear

EAGLE BAR NEW YORK CITY X390 | ADVOCATE.COM
In a case of poor timing, New York City’s Eagle Bar underwent a sudden police inspection Friday night just as patrons were celebrating the state’s legalization of marriage equality.

Those present say representatives from the New York Police Department and three other city agencies, including the State Liquor Authority, arrived shortly after the State Senate’s vote and turned off the bar’s lights. They then shined flashlights in patron’s faces and asked some of them to empty their pockets. READ MORE

Another Gay Murdered in N.Y., We’ve Seen it Before

by Accidental Bear

To common of a story. The detail have not emerged but my guess is that, this is a case of younger straight thug (dabbling with sexual identity) is down on his luck and using older gay man to meet some financial needs. Older gay man is overly helpful and goes against better judgment in hopes to get some straight guy sex. Things don’t go as planned for him, straight guy flips out and kills him. Drugs and booze are usually involved. That is my guess.

San Francisco — A man was stabbed and seriously wounded while walking home in San Francisco’s Mission District early today, and another man was shot to death on a nearby street corner a half hour later, police said.

Officers had no evidence that the two attacks were related, said Sgt. Mike Andraychak, a police spokesman. He said the police Gang Task Force was investigating both incidents.

The stabbing was reported about 1:50 a.m. near 16th and Mission streets. The victim, a 28-year-old San Francisco man, had just left a bar and was walking home when four men in their early 20s confronted him, then stabbed him repeatedly and ran off, Andraychak said.

He said the victim told police in the hospital that the attackers were gang members who apparently mistook him for a member of a rival gang.

About 2:20 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot near the corner of 17th and Mission, Andraychak said. He was pronounced dead in the hospital at 4 a.m.

Witnesses saw a black SUV-type vehicle leaving the scene after the shooting, Andraychak said. He said police had no information about the reasons for the shooting and have made no arrests in either case.

Cops Cracking Down On Public Park Sex In Northern California Can’t Find Anybody To Arrest

via Queerty

Looks like we might have another Warm Sands on our cold hands: The PetalumaPolice Department, north of San Francisco, is “continuing to conduct enforcement operations on anonymous gay sexual encounters in public parks, which have been reported for decades, although the main locations used and the manner of arranging the encounters steadily have changed,” relays the Press Democrat. Facing misdemeanor charges of lewd conduct, men cruising public spaces like Prince Parks have been facing a new challenge: police erected a fence around a forested area, making entry and exit more easy to monitor. What effect did that have? Men just moved to nearby Lucchesi Park. Well! Police, who note that neither minors nor women are involved in reported sexual activity, say they monitor sites like Craigslist to see when men are arranging a meet up, but I’ll give you a hint: men are cruising for sex at Always o’clock. The police are so good at cracking down on these crimes, they’ve made this many “recent” arrests: zero.
