Who is to decide what is “proper” attire or not to fly. On many flights I have been on between SFO and HNL I have seen many hoochie-mama bikini tops and straight up skin. Cross dressing is in, nut baggy pants are out?

US Airways has acknowledged that less than a week before having a college student arrested for allegedly refusing to hike up his saggy pants while boarding, the airline allowed a man wearing little more than women’s underwear, black thigh-high stockings and heels to fly.

Circumcision Battle Takes Odd Turn When you Add a Anti-Semitic Novel

An effort to ban circumcision for anyone under the age of 18 is now complicated by a graphic novel that many are calling anti-Semitic.

San Francisco is set to vote on the ban in November, and an effort is under way to ban the practice in Santa Monica, Calif., just west of Los Angeles. The debate has been pitched already, but the discovery of a comic book that depicts Jews as knife-wielding, bloodthirsty villains is sparking an outcry. The San Francisco Chronicle  discovered the Foreskin Man comic book, which was written and created by Matthew Hess, the president of MGM (male genital mutilation) Bill, an anticircumcision group based in San Diego. Hess told the Chronicle he doesn’t see his comic book as anti-Semitic, but Jewish leaders say it reeks of European hate imagery that sprang up around World War II.

Rude Leather Gay, Bullies Dad and his 10 yr old

When does someones personal freedom and amendment rights cross the line of common decency? This is not a gay or straight issues but I know for a fact that many gay men in SF feel as if certain moral or ethical rules do not apply to them because this is “their gay” town. I think it just boils down to the leather queen being tacky and rude by the sounds of it. I’m curious how  this will all unfold. – AB

Condo Owner’s Leather Sex Dilemma

A new condo owner in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco is in a bind — he sunk all of his money into a place for himself and his 10-year-old son. But when he went to remove the carpeting, his downstairs neighbor informed him that he enjoys “leather sex” and that it would be audible in the upstairs bedrooms without an effective sound barrier.

California Lawmaker Receives Racist Death Threat Warning ‘Rush Limbaugh Will Kick Your Ch-nk Ass’

Last week, California State Sen. Leland Yee (D) called on right-wing hate radio host Rush Limbaugh to apologize for mocking Chinese President Hu Jintao and the Chinese language by speaking gibberish “ching chong chang” Chinese on his radio program. Yee, who is Chinese-American and chairs the state Senate Select Committee on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, said Limbaugh owes the Chinese-American community an apology for his “pointless and ugly offense.” Naturally, Limbaugh did not apologize, and instead railed against Yee the following day on his radio, calling him out repeatedly by name.

Yee’s call for civility did not sit well with one Limbaugh fan, who responded by sending several racist death threats to Yee’s office this week. “Rush Limbaugh will kick your chink ass and expose you for the fool you are,” the faxes read, threatening him with “death” (warning, contains racial expletives):

As the San Francisco Chronicle notes, “The faxes include a drawing of a U.S. flag-adorned pickup truck towing a noose that is looped around what appears to be a caricature head of President Barack Obama.”
