Why I Hate Being Gay! 62 Reasons! By Michael Musto Wednesday, Jun 22 2011 You assume the Super Bowl is a large household item at Pottery Barn. … Your fake tans are even more life-threatening than your real ones. … Your entire wardrobe consists of male designers having a midlife crisis. You spend your whole life fighting for rights you don’t even want for yourself. (Marriage and the military? No thanks!)…Gym was the bane of your entire childhood, but now you spend $1,350 a year on it. … You gym all day and unsafe all night. … It’s not even called “barebacking” anymore. It’s just “sex.”… You think “modern dance” means Britney. … You strangely turned off to Gaga the day she released a song about how great gays are. … You haven’t followed a female singer with two names since Alanis.

Six Members of GLAAD’s Board Resign Six board members of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation have resigned amid the fallout over the organization’s letter insupport of AT&T’s proposed bid for wireless rival T-Mobile, a person familiar with the matter told POLITICO. Some board members were said to have resigned because of concerns that GLAAD failed to adhere to its conflict of interest standards and to protest GLAAD’s failure to protect its president, Jarrett Barrios, who submitted his letter of resignation to the group Saturday amid a growing backlash in the gay blogosphere over the group’s AT&T stance.

Pilot’s Antigay Rant Stalled Air Traffic Control A pilot in Houston was suspended after his obscenity-laden rant was recorded, in which he complained that he found none of the flight attendants being hired suitable for dating. The Southwest Airlines pilot, whose name has not been disclosed, was speaking to his copilot during a flight in March, and the conversation was accidentally picked up by an air traffic control frequency that is heard among most controllers and pilots across Texas. The incident tied up the frequency for several minutes, blocking communication from controllers to dozens of pilots in the sky, according to KPRC News.

Guy Robs Bank So He Can Get Health Care in Prison James Verone, a 59-year-old former truck driver, was having serious medical problems that he couldn’t afford to get checked out or treated. If only North Carolina had a free, state-run health-care system!, he thought. Then he realized it does: in prison. And so one morning Verone hailed a cab, headed to (the randomly-chosen) RBC bank, and handed the teller a note “demanding one dollar, and medical attention.” As it happens, one dollar is not enough money to count as a “bank robbery” (and garner the jail time that goes with it), and Verone will be charged with “larceny from a person.” Nonetheless, the Gaston Gazette writes, Verone has already “seen several nurses and has an appointment with a doctor Friday.”

People who came out in hostile or judgmental environments did not enjoy the same benefits as those in supportive ones.

Friends and family of White say the four returned to the cousin’s apartment, where an altercation led to White being shot multiple times.

Obama’s gay marriage conundrum Obama’s claim eight months ago that his position is evolving on gay marriage seems to have created a political conundrum: It has led gay advocates to demand, understandably, to know when his position will reach full evolution. As I noted here yesterday, the problem is that Obama has left everyone believing that he believes in full equality but that he’s not quite prepared to take the final step of saying so.

WHO urges equal access to HIV services for gay men GENEVA (AP) — The World Health Organization urged governments Tuesday to eliminate laws criminalizing sexual activity between consenting men, as part of an effort to ensure they get equal access to HIV prevention and treatment. The U.N. health agency said that men who have sex with men face legal or practical discrimination obtaining medical services in many countries — particularly the estimated 76 countries where gay sex is illegal — and are among the hardest-hit by the HIV epidemic.

David Tyree, hero of Giants’ Super Bowl upset of Patriots, said he’d trade win to block gay marriage ALBANY – Giants 2007 Super Bowl hero David Tyree said he’d trade “The Catch” and the team’s unlikely championship to keep marriage between one man and one woman. Tyree is best remembered in his career for his miraculous late-game catch in Super Bowl XLII against the Patriots, trapping the ball against his helmet while being pulled down by New England safety Rodney Harrison.

Joe Jonas Covers ‘Paper’ Magazine’s Summer Music Issue  Joe Jonas looks dapper in a Neil Barretttuxedo, shirt, and bow tie on the cover ofPaper magazine’s Summer Music Issue. Here’s what the 21-year-old entertainer had to share: On branching out from the Jonas Brothers: “My brothers [Kevin and Nick] and I, we’re like each other’s best friends, and I think it’s that foundation that makes me feel like I can really do this on my own for a second.” On the inspiration for his upcoming album, Fastlife: “I don’t mean to name-drop but about a year-and-a-half ago I metBono, and he told me to write music that was really honest, to not be afraid to go there.”

Amy Winehouse Gives Up Amy Winehouse pulls the plug on her entire concert tour. Chris Brown accidentally tweets a private message for Rihanna. Kanye West hides the fact that he has girly alcohol preferences. Tuesday gossip says no, no, no. After her trainwreck performance in Serbia, Amy Winehouse canceled a couple stops on her European tour. Now, she’s canceled the entire tour. No word whether she’s going back to rehab, or just returning to her sad, messy life in England, smoking crack in a house full of half-eaten junk food, dirty laundry, and the feces of mice.
