My Wicked Hairy 80s Crush: Alan Thicke

by Accidental Bear

I remember watching Battle of the Stars and witnessing Alan Thicke in a speedo. MY insides freaked out, I was intrigued. Why oh why didn’t we have TIVO then? I would have watched -rewind-watch-rewind the whole time my dad was out mowing the lawn! I searched the web for him in speedos but came up with nada. I feel so incomplete.

American Chronicle | Nepal´s tiger conservation effort makes gains

A campaign to double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022 was on the agenda todayat the highest level political meeting to ever discuss a single species.

The International Tiger Forum in St Petersburg is being staged in response to a calamitous 97% decline in tigers in the wild over a century.

The Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin, and the president of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, were behind the four-day event, during which it is hoped that $350m (£220m) will be secured for tiger conservation.

A.J. Goodrich Is Walking Across The Country To Tell America To Start Loving Them Some Homosexuals

“Goodrich says he’s embarking on the trip, which begins Feb. 1 and is expected to take seven months, because “I just don’t want other kids who are growing up gay to have to go through what I had to go through,” which sounds nice. “I want to be a positive role model for them and give them some hope.” Indeed, the whole point is to create a dialogue, or whatever, with folks all over the country.”

Build the Best, Manliest Fire Ever.

How to Start a Cozy Fireplace Fire

One of my favorite things about winter is spending time next to a warm and cozy fireplace fire. What’s more romantic than snuggling up to your gal in front of a glowing fire? And what’s more relaxing than coming home from a long day of work, sitting in your man chair, and unwinding next to a glowing hearth?

If you’ve never started a fire in a fireplace (and no, those automatic electric fireplace don’t count), then this guide is for you.

1. Make sure your chimney is clean and free of blockages. It’s always a good idea to get your chimney swept before you start lighting fires in it. Even if you haven’t used it, animal nests and old leaves can cause blockages that will result in a smoke-filled house. Call a chimney sweep to come check out your chimney. Of course, you should have done this already when you winterized your house.
